I was playing around with the sour cream container and thought it looked like a little bird beak so I thought I’d go with that theme for my DIY Valentines and add some wings to it.
Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday to craft for, as the colors happen to be some of my faves! So let’s get started!
Steps for Bird Sour Cream DIY Valentines:
I die cut a whole bunch of wings out of red, pink, and white paper.
The “body” of the bird or the sour cream container I cut a piece of scrapbook paper 4 x 6 so you can get 6 pieces out of 1 sheet of paper.
To decorate all the container paper and wings for my DIY Valentines, I used:
Clearsnap sweet stamp
My Fist ColorBox flower stamp from Boho set
After I stamped and embossed all the pages and wings, it was time to assemble the parts.
I stapled the beak end of the container and used a washi tape embellished binder clip to close the back end.
I used the binder clip as well to secure the wings to the sour cream Valentine bird.
I used a black marker to make the beak and draw an eye onto the bird.
To make these little tweet birds stand I slipped a pen with a cap onto the binder clip. I picked this tip up from my friend Maria who showed me how to use a binder clip to make a holder in my planner.
I hope you liked my “tweet” little bird sour cream container Valentines and if you are making some for this Valentine’s day you will have as much fun as I had making them and spreading the love this Valentine’s Day!
Very creative idea, I like it?
