This is Steph Ackerman, a design team member for Ann Butler Designs and I’m going to show you how to paint with Crafter’s ink using a fun snowman design on a simple canvas tote bag. The design team is taking over the Clearsnap blog I’m excited to share how I used Crafter’s Inks as paint on this canvas snowman tote bag.

Canvas Tote Bag
I found this cute canvas snowman tote bag in a local store and decided to paint it with Ann Butler’s Crafters Inks. Be sure to place a piece of cardboard inside so the ink does not leak through the canvas.
Steps on How to Paint with Crafter’s Ink:
Place a few drops of Crafter’s Ink Reinkers on an acrylic block. Since the ink is liquid, simply dip a paint brush in the colors and paint the tote bag. I used Aquamarine on the snowflakes, Limelight on the scarf and Tangelo on his nose.
I painted his hat with Canyon Ink as I did not have a reinker. I used a little bit of water on my brush to smooth out the ink. I did the same to add stripes to the scarf.
For visual interest, I created the pattern around the edges of the tot bag with Blueberry Ink and a Unity Stamp.
Wouldn’t this make a great gift or a gift bag? Fill with some small items and some candy and give it to someone special.
