One of the fun things to do as the holidays approach is to whip up some fun and colorful fast Christmas cards that you can use to decorate with before you give them out. For these bold and colorful ornament cards I used:
- ColorBox Art Screens Spheres stencil
- ColorBox Petal Point Envy ink
- ColorBox Petal Point Kiss ink
- Smooch Bottle Gold Lame
- Embossing Powder clear
- 12 x 12 white scrapbook card stock
I simply cut the scrapbook card sock in half and then folded each piece in half to make the square card.
I taped the stencil onto the card slightly toward the bottom to leave a little room for the ornament gold top.
Each card is made with three shades of petal point colors starting with the lightest color in the center and then working toward the outside with the darkest color.
Then embossed with clear embossing powder.
For a final touch I used the Gold Lame Smooch to draw a tiny rectangle and line for the ornament hardware.
I can’t wait to make more colors of ornament cards and I was going to hang them as a garland before sending them off to their new homes.
Try making a collection yourself in your Christmas or Holiday decorating color theme and you’ll be all set to spread the holiday cheer!
