Hi crafty friends! This is Steph Ackerman, a design team member for Ann Butler Designs and I’m going to show you how to use Art Screens to create perfect backgrounds. The design team is taking over the Clearsnap blog and I’m so excited to share how I used Crafter’s Inks with the Stars Art Screen to create perfect backgrounds.
Supplies for Making Perfect Backgrounds:
ColorBox Crafter’s® by Ann Butler – Blueberry, Canyon, Desert Sand
ColorBox Crafter’s® by Ann Butler – Reinkers – Tangelo, Limelight, Aquamarine
ColorBox® Embossing Powder – Clear
ColorBox® Art Screen by Ann Butler – Stars
ColorBox® Art Daubers
Joy Clair Clear Stamps
Place the Stars Art Screen on a white card. Using an art dauber, ink the Stars Art Screen with Blueberry Ink.
Place a white panel on top of the inked Art Screen. Roll over the panel picking up the excess ink on the Art Screen.
You now have 2 different backgrounds to use – the original image as well as the negative image.
Stamp the snowman images with Blueberry Ink and heat set with Clear Embossing Powder. Add color to the images using assorted Crafter’s Inks and reinkers. Simply place a few drops of reinkers on an acrylic block and then pick up color with a paint brush.
Stamp assorted winter phrases with Blueberry Ink and emboss with Clear embossing powder. Ink the edges of the panels with Blueberry Ink and mat with cardstock. Die cut the images and add to the panels. Add the panels to the cards with foam adhesives for dimension. Die cut sentiments finished the cards.
Aren’t they sweet? With winter coming, these would be perfect cards to send to family and friends.
Thanks for stopping by today and please stop by my blog.
