Steps for Making a Coffee DIY Card:

Step 1: Start by choosing a color from the Winterscape Pigment Ink Petal Point inkpad, and stamp the coffee cup. Pour clear embossing powder over it and heat emboss. I did this on watercolor cardstock

Step 2: Using watercolor pencils and a waterbrush, color in your coffee cup. I like to brush the waterbrush tip onto the tip of the pencil to pick up the color. Lay down the color heavily and then with a clean brush blend out the color. Fussy cut out the coffee cup.

Step 3: Stamp out your sentiment with alphabet stamps. It’s nice to have an upper and lowercase set.

Step 4: Cut up the sentiment into what I like to call, “word fetti” do this with scissors, not a paper trimmer. You don’t want it to look precise, more like a ransom note.

Step 5: Choose a pattern paper from your scraps for the background of your card. Adhere to the back of the card.

Step 6: Adhere the coffee cup with foam tape

Step 7: Adhere your sentiment with a tape runner, arranging the words however you would like

You can create a bunch of the same cards, or have fun with picking out different sentiments. These would make a great card set for gifts!
