Welcome to our final color challenge! We’ve enjoyed hosting these color challenges but the time has come to change our format and bring in something new. We wanted our last color challenge to go out with a POP! These colors are a bit different for fall and Halloween … we took a cue from fashion and Pantone’s fall trend report. Get inspired by the projects our team created below. But first, we’d like to introduce our newest guest designer, Stefanie Girard!
Stefanie Girard is a crafter with a re-purpose. She has been cutting stuff up since she was old enough to hold a pair of scissors in her tiny hands. She earned her degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and move to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry first as a Set Decorator and Prop Master then onto TV Producer specializing in How-To TV shows for HGTV and the DIY Networks. After writing 5 craft books for the Quarto Publishing Group she now spreads the crafty word online through original projects and designs with a focus on recycled elements.
We are really excited to have Stefanie on the team! Now, let’s get started:
Metallic Paper Leaves Card by Suzanne Austin
Fall is here, and what better way to celebrate it’s arrival than to create a project with all of the rich colors it has to offer! I’ve used our ColorBox® Six-Color Pigment Ink Pad (to reverse stencil the background) along with some gorgeous Smooch Spritz in “Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Platinum, and Copper!” These Sprays have some truly intense shimmery power!
- Twinkle Dust by Donna Salazar “Sugar Shimmer”
- ColorBox® Six-Color Pigment Ink “Gypsy”
- Smooch Spritz “Platinum, Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Copper”
- electronic die-cuts, kraft cardstock, watercolor paper, stencil, word sticker, wire, sequins
Diamond Shaped Gift Box by Stefanie Girard
I am in love with all things diamond. Maybe it’s the geometry, or maybe it’s the sparkliness…or both!
I bet these would be fun to use as Christmas ornaments made in all sorts of pretty holiday colors. Watch the blog for a full tutorial and FREE printable template to make the box, coming soon!
We love the projects our partner designers have created and hope you are inspired as well.
