Hi Crafty Friends! This is Steph Ackerman, a creative design team member for Susan K. Weckesser and I’m going wild with the Susan K. Weckesser Design Team. I’m excited to share a card using a watercolor stamping technique with Colorbox® Color Pop Premium Dye Ink by Susan K. Weckesser and the Susan K. Weckesser co-branded stamps from Unity Stamp Company.
I love creating backgrounds, don’t you? The In Circle Me stamp is great for creating backgrounds and was perfect for a going wild card. Using the Colorbox® Color Pop Premium Dye Ink by Susan K. Weckesser in Kiss, Ice, Fresh, Cocoa and Sky, I simply tapped them directly on the stamp. Then I stamped the image on white cardstock.
Mixing the ink colors/overlaying the ink colors gives you even more color opportunities.
Choosing the background I wanted to use, I cut it to size then inked it with Cocoa Ink. Matting the panel with black cardstock allowed the colors to pop. Then I added the panel to a blue card.
Using the Going Wild stamp set, I stamped the fox with Colorbox® Color Pop Premium Dye Ink by Susan K. Weckesser in Mystery ink on white cardstock.
Finally, I stamped several colors of inks on a stamp block and spritzed the block with water. Then I used a small brush to add color to the fox. The fox was then die cut with a Spellbinders circle die and matted with a larger black die. For dimension, I used foam adhesives to add the fox to the card.
Going Wild was stamped in Mystery Ink directly on the card.
How will you use your stamps and inks today?
Thanks for stopping by.
Steph
