DIY Halloween Treat Bag Toppers

I have three kiddos in school that keep me pretty busy!  Halloween essentially begins the season of teacher and student gift-giving at school.  Having three elementary kids, If I choose to do something hand-made, it has to be easily replicated!   This Halloween Treat Bag features die-cuts that have been color customized with ColorBox® Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink Sprays!

The bag topper is constructed of white paper and die-cuts that have all been customized with Spray Inks!   The colors and die-cuts can be easily switched up for variation and fun!

To begin, I gathered up sprays of my choice-ones that are typical Halloween-themed colors.  I cut out several electronic die-cuts using white cardstock only; there is no need to continually load different color cardstock to the machine!

Simply spritz the die-cuts with the Premium Dye Ink Sprays-so easy!  The best thing about these sprays is that a little goes a long way, they are light-fast, and warping isn’t an issue.  For me, all of those things are important especially when I’m duplicating several items.

The circle has been spritzed with Premium Dye Ink Spray in “Grape,” and given a coat of some very pretty Donna Salazar Twinkle Dust Glitter! What’s Halloween without glitter!?

All that’s left to do is to adhere the die-cuts to the bag toppers and to fill with goodies! It has quickly become that time of year!  Will you be making handmade gifts this year?  We would love to see!

About Suzanne Austin

Hi!  My name is Suzanne Austin.  I’m a SAHM of 3 kiddos living on the Gulf Coast in Alabama.  I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 17 years and counting!  I began scrapping shortly after the birth of our son, and like most haven’t looked back!  It wasn’t hard to become completely immersed in scrapbooking-the process, the art, the design-I am still in awe of the talent that’s showcased in this industry.  My style is pretty versatile (and still ever evolving), but I tend to lean toward the mixed-media and inky side of scrapping.  My motto: Just do it!  I love experimentation with new ideas and techniques. I tend jump in head first-no regrets. I love the enrichment (and therapy :D) this hobby has to lend.  I’m beyond excited to rub elbows with our talented Creative Team for yet another term!
