Hello everyone!! Kymona here to show you how to use Colorbox Crafter’s Ink to color a wood toolbox for dad or a special guy in your life. I know, I know Father’s Day already? Yes, May is almost over which means June is right around the corner. Time is flying and I want you to be ready for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 19th, 2016.
My dad sat and watched me create this toolbox for him, talk about surprise right? He said he will act surprised again on Father’s day. Thanks Dad!!
Lets get started:
Here is the list of supplies you’ll need:
- Colorbox Crafter’s® Cat’s Eye Inkpad – Tangelo
- Cat’s Eye® Adapter Set
- Walnut Hollow Rustic Tote
- Pigment: Colorbox® Full Size Inkpad – Enchanted
- Alphabet Stencil
How to get started inking up the Rustic Tote:
Using these adapters to apply ink, keeps your ink pads from picking up debris from the wood and/or getting a nicked from the rough surface. They absorb the ink and apply it to the surface of wood with no problem.
Once the sides are completed, turn the adapter to the other side and use it to apply the Colorbox Crafter’s® Cat’s Eye Inkpad – Tangelo
Once the front and back of the rustic tote are complete, use an alphabet stencil to add the word “DAD” using Pigment: Colorbox® Full Size Inkpad – Enchanted.
Optional: Add ink to the front and back edges of the tote.
Since this tote looks like a toolbox, add the tools before giving the tote to your recipient.
