We’re so happy you’re here! Our MAY Color Challenge was inspired by the festive, bright colors of Cinco De Mayo and the upcoming summer season. Can you believe that the school year is almost over?!
Our team got together to celebrate with a series of scrapbook pages inspired by this month’s Color Challenge. With National Scrapbook Day literally days away, we wanted to continue sharing layouts and ideas through the weekend to help you get creative this National Scrapbook Day.
We’re really excited to share what our guest designers created for you this month but first, we have a new guest designer joining the Clearsnap Blog!
We’re so happy to introduce Rose Powell!
About Rose: Hi! I’m Rose, a 36 year old Stay-at-home, wife, mother of 4, grandmother, professional blogger at Immutable Ramblings and inspired creative. It started as a love for capturing and documenting my family’s memories and quickly turned into a passion for inspiring others. The happiness I have found has ignited the desire to encourage and inspire others to explore their own creative expression.

Watercolor Scrapbook Page by Rose Powell
The May Color Challenge introduced beautiful summer hues. Pink, orange, yellow, teal and purple filled the challenge image. I had just the perfect photograph to fit into this theme. However, I should forewarn you, this is my first time scrapbooking family in a traditional 12 x 12 format.
Once I got over the intimidation, I fell in love the idea of starting with a white base. Shades of pink, yellow and teal, hearts, flowers and one of my beautiful daughters. I called this layout done!

Colorful Photo Frame with Kymona Tracey
Kymona Tracey shares how to use ColorBox Surfacez to apply color directly onto wood frame and paper to create a cohesive look on a simple family home decor project.
Choose the colors of ink for the project.
Open the ColorBox Surfacez ink pad and gently press into the wood to transfer the color. ColorBox Surfacez is a solvent based ink that dries almost instantly, making projects like this easy and quick to create.
Apply ColorBox Surfacez in a complimentary color to the edge of the wood frame and to a sheet of paper. Diecut or handcut a spiral from the sheet of paper and roll into a flower. Adhere the flower to the wood frame with your favorite adhesive. Add a favorite family photo and display!
