Hi friends! Dana Tatar here today sharing a scrapbook layout that I created for my vacation album. I used some bright and fun NEW colors of ColorBox® Pigment Ink, along with some of my favorites, with an Art Screen to add a vibrant floral accent strip to the center of my page.

Pigment ink has a generous drying time which makes it perfect for creating blended and embossed pieces. This vivid stenciled design comes together in a few quick steps.

Step One: Place the Trellis Art Screen on top of a piece of white cardstock. Tip: Use washi tape to secure the cardstock and Art Screen to your work surface. Use a ColorBox® Stylus and assorted Stylus Tips and Art Daubers to apply ink over the Art Screen. Heat set the ink.

Step Two: Add dimension to the stenciled design with embossing powder. Line up the Trellis Art Screen over the stenciled design. Apply pigment ink onto a Mini Molding Mat and carefully press the mat over the Art Screen. Sprinkle ColorBox® Clear Embossing Powder over the wet ink and heat set. Note: The flexibility of the Molding Mat makes it perfect to add pattern over an uneven surface. A variety of blending tools and 2 Mini Molding Mats come in the ColorBox® Blending Kit for an excellent value!

Step Three: Highlight the flower centers with Smooch® Pearlized Accent Ink.

I used the Teresa Collins Wood Mount Continents Stamp to create a map embellishment for my layout. Here’s how:

Apply ColorBox® Thunder Pigment Ink to the Continents stamp. Press the design onto a piece of 3×3-inch white cardstock. Add ColorBox® Clear Embossing Powder over the stamped image, tap off the excess powder, and heat set. Frame the stamped image with cardstock and add a rhinestone to mark a specific location on the map.

I’m thrilled with how this layout turned out. The archival properties of ColorBox® Pigment Ink ensures that my stenciled and stamped designs won’t fade. I hope I have inspired you to create your own accents for your next scrapbook layout! For more ideas and designer tips, follow Clearsnap on Facebook and join the I Heart Clearsnap Facebook Page.
