Hi friends! Dana here today sharing a bold Cinco de Mayo themed recipe album. I used Marisa Pawelko Modern Surrealist Surfacez and Smooch® inks together two different ways on this festive album. The bold colors of ink pair well with the bold recipes contained inside this album, because for me, no celebration is complete without some good eats.
To add color to plain foam letters, use a ColorBox® Art Dauber to apply the Surfacez ink to each foam letter. Try using more than one color of Surfacez ink to create a fun party vibe. Add a fantastic shimmer to each letter by applying a layer of Goldrush Smooch Glitz®.
Surfacez and Smooch® inks are designed to work on a variety of surfaces like plastic, metal, and glossy cardstock, but they also work well on plain paper. I used them both here to dress up a piece of pink cardstock. First, apply Beyond Black Surfacez ink onto the Jumbalaya Molding Mat and carefully press the design onto a piece of cardstock. Next, highlight the stamped image with Smooch® Pearlized Accent Ink.
I added washi tape to the edge of plastic sleeves and then added recipe cards with some of my favorite Mexican dishes hand-written on them. If you’re looking for some delicious recipes for your Cinco de Mayo fiesta, I share the 10 recipes I included in this album on my blog.
Looking for more project ideas with Surfacez® and Smooch® ink? I’ve previously created two projects with these same supplies and I’d love for you to take a look!
