It’s February and that means Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Hi everyone Steph Ackerman here today with some quick and easy mini Valentine’s Day cards to share.
- ColorBox Pigment Ink by Teresa Collins – Passion Pink, Feisty Red, Loft Black
- ColorBox Art Screen – Lovely
- ColorBox Art Daubers
- Wood Block Stamps – Love
Art screens allow you to create one of a kind, perfect backgrounds for your projects. Using an art dauber with the Lovely Art Screen I created the background for each card using Feisty Red Pigment Ink on pink cardstock. The panels were cut into 3″ squares and matted with black cardstock. This allowed the background to take center stage. Using the Love Wood Block Stamp, I stamped Love in the center of the panel using Loft Black Pigment Ink.
The cards measure 4″ square and since I wanted the top panel to have dimension, I wrapped ribbon around the card first. As the ribbon did not match my project, I easily colored it with Feisty Red Pigment Ink using an Art Dauber.
Foam adhesives were used on the panels for dimension. Separating the layers gives visual interest and dimension to the cards.
At 4″ square these cards are definitely quick and easy mini Valentine’s Day cards. Why not encourage your little ones to work with you to create cards for their teachers and friends for Valentine’s Day.
Thanks for stopping by today.
