Happy Holidays! Tami Sanders here to share this month’s card sketch with you today. I also made a sample card using the sketch.

Each month a NEW! card sketch is added to the blog, usually on the 13th. The sample card will show tips and techniques for using using inks and more great products from Clearsnap.

Here is the December sketch…

card sketch #30

The sample card features several of the Teresa Collins ColorBox® Pigment Inks. The colors in the collection offer great “on trend” options for your holiday crafting.

The Fiesty Red and Passion Pink Inks coordinated nicely and a touch of Gold Shine added some shimmer…

The technique used to create the snowflake design on the cardstock is a simple one. Emboss your design using a metal or plastic stencil, then, without removing the stencil, ink over the design. To make this process neat and easy, apply ink using the ColorBox® Stylus & Tips. When you remove the stencil, you’ve have a pretty embossed design with an inked background to accent it.

To add some more shine, the music paper was embossed with ColorBox® Clear Embossing PowderThe other inks were heat set after applying to speed up dry time.

About Tami Sanders

Ink, paper and glue are a few of my favorite things. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, and don’t really have a set “style”; fresh, graphic or vintage, I like them all.  Likewise, I also find creating a variety of projects challenging. I design scrapbook pages, cards, mixed media projects, altered books, jewelry and more. I have taught scrapbooking and paper crafting classes locally as well as at regional and national conventions. Sharing the joy of inking and paper crafting feeds my creative soul. You can usually find me scouring estate sales and flea markets on the weekends hunting for unique tidbits and trinkets to use in my classes and for my projects. I'm excited to be rejoining the Clearsnap Design Team. I am fortunate to have worked with Clearsnap for over 10 years.
