Tami Sanders here today to share a NEW! card sketch with you as well as a sample card I made from the sketch.
Each month, usually the 13th, a NEW! card sketch is added to the blog. Tips and techniques for using using inks and more from Clearsnap as shared as well.
Here is this month’s sketch…
Fall is definitely in the air, even here in still sunny Texas, and Halloween is just around the corner. So this month’s sketch is a little “off kilter” just like the holiday.
This month, one of the Clearsnap products that the Creative Team will be focusing on are the NEW! Teresa Collins ColorBox® Pigment Inks. The inks come in 8 yummy colors that are fresh and on trend. The collection features several not to be missed metallics! Unfortunately, photos just don’t do the fabulous depth of shine and shimmer justice. Ask for them at your favorite stamp or hobby store to see them up close and personal!
Three of the Teresa Collins Pigment Inks were used to make the sample card below. Glam Green, Gold Shine and my new favorite, Platinum Silver.
The “creepy” face was stamped using the Rollagraph® Doll Faces Jumbo Design Wheel inked with Glam Green Ink and rolled onto black cardstock. The edges of the piece were inked using the Platinum Silver.
The rust background paper was given some texture using the Wordwords Jumbo Design Wheel and the Gold Shine Ink.
The rust piece and book page were wrinkled and then distressed using ColorBox® Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink.
The book page was adhered to a 5 X 5 card base and torn just slightly larger on all sides. The dark gray card base was distressed using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink and touches of Gold Shine where the paper was torn away.
ColorBox® Stylus & Tips were used to apply the inks used for distressing. The Stylus & Tips give you more control over the ink application so you can shade as light or as heavy as you like.
Rollagraph Design Wheels are great for adding borders and designs to all kinds of projects, but don’t overlook their use as stamps! The designs are great and repeat as you roll, making them a very easy way to stamp images in bulk for cards or projects you are making multiples of.
