Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a baby girl themed mini album that I embellished using Smooch® Accent Ink, ColorBox® Fluid Chalk Ink, and ColorBox® Archival Dye Ink. Many of the Clearsnap® inks can be used on slick surfaces, such as vellum and acrylic, so when I received a Baby Mixable Album from Clear Scraps, I couldn’t wait to put some of my favorite inks to the test!

I’ve been holding on to the the Baby Claire collection from Pretty Little Studio for some time, saving it for that perfect project. (When you have a daughter named Claire, and a paper company designs a collection called “Baby Claire,” you buy the entire line!) I was thrilled that Clear Scraps sent me an adorable baby album and I had a reason to bring out this paper collection! The Baby Mixable Album page shapes include a rattle, heart, star, bear and onesie. Note: This project could be easily adapted for a boy by swapping the paper collection and colors of Clearsnap® ink.

Smooch® Accent Ink is a great way to add color to non-porous surfaces, such as acrylic. Use the applicator to paint on Smooch® Accent Ink. The ink stays wet for some time, making it easy to blend. The ink can be applied in a thin layer for a transparent effect as show above. Heat set the ink when the painting is finished for a subtle shimmery design that won’t rub off!

ColorBox® Chalk is permanent on non-porous surfaces like acrylic and vellum when heat set. I used a ColorBox® Art Dauber and a Clear Scraps Flowers Stencil to add a Berrylicious print to this acrylic album page. Note: Take care not to melt the plastic in the heat set process.

Once the acrylic album pages were inked and dried, I covered the chipboard album pages with patterned paper. I inked the edges of each page with ColorBox® Berrylicious Fluid Chalk Ink for a fun pop of color.

Lastly, I embellished the album cover with die-cuts, flowers, a wood veneer sentiment, button flair and some ColorBox® Irish Archival Dye Ink stamped leaves.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
