Nothing associates “Made in the USA,” or Fourth of July better than the colors red, white, and blue. So, taking cues from these patriotic colors (which happens to be this month’s color inspiration challenge), I’ve created a grungy Fourth of July mixed-media tag using an array of Clearsnap® supplies.
I created the base of the tag by adhering star sequins to the background and covering them with gesso. Once the background was completely dry, I spritzed the tag with water and ColorBox® Stephanie Barnard Premium Dye Ink in “Blueberry” and Aladine Izink Ink in “Tomato.”
Once all inks were dry, I applied gesso to the tag. I stamped text to the background using ColorBox® Archival Dye Ink in “Wicked Black.” The chipboard pieces are covered in our Designer Foils in “Silver Fog;” I applied liquid glue to the pieces and let them dry until tacky-then applied the foil. I didn’t want perfect coverage-in keeping with the grungy feel of this tag! Take the patriotic challenge with us this month-will you please? Thanks for stopping by!
