Hi it’s Beth Pingry! Do you ever get tired of using patterned paper, or you just don’t have the right ‘thing’ at hand? It happens to me all the time! I decided to make my own using just one ink pad.

I used the Colorbox 6-color Ink Pad, the Farmhouse colors, a clear acrylic block, watercolor paper and some water in a spray bottle.

I sprayed the watercolor paper with water to get it nice and damp, but not dripping. I placed the clear block onto the ink pad and pressed down. I gave the inked block a little spay and then placed it down on the watercolor paper.

TIP: Clean the block between stamping, so that you don’t contaminate the pads with other colors or water.

Continue adding blocks of color to cover the paper. You can add more water to create a more blended look to the ink.

I love how this looks! And how EASY it is!

Allow the watercolor paper to dry completely before using it further. It’ll dry overnight, or you can use an embossing heat tool. I actually cut this in half and set one aside for later.

To finish the card I double matted the paper, and then attached it to a card.
I stamped the images on white cardstock with Black Pigment Ink and trimmed, then adhered them to the background with 3D Foam Squares.

Thanks for visiting!
