Hi crafters! Dana Tatar here today sharing a pair of pixel prints that I painted using Pigment Izink. I was inspired by a pixel wall art post that I saw on The Bold Abode last month and I just had to create a similar piece for my home. I used two pieces of 8.5×11-inch White Birch BARC Wood Sheets from ARC Crafts for this project. The wood took the Izink beautifully and I’m thrilled with the vibrant shimmery result!
The first step was to pixelate a picture. I use Picasa to edit this Clearsnap heart collage. The colors in this collage were bright and fun and I thought the resulting squares in the pixelated image would be easy to paint. I decided to create two prints, one for each of my daughters, as they each hold half of my heart.
I used a pencil and ruler to draw a grid onto an 8.5×11-inch White Birch BARC Wood Sheet. I printed my pixelated image to use as a guide for painting.
I repeated the above process for the second half of the heart. Once the prints were dry I mounted the veneer sheets on a piece of thick cardstock in preparation for framing.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to create some pixel prints! What photo would you use for a similar project?
