Hello!

Do you like making cards but sometimes get stumped for ideas as to how to design them?

If so, then please join me, Tami Sanders, for a new card sketch and sample card made using the sketch each month. New sketches are usually posted on the 13th.

Here is February’s sketch…

And here is the sample card I made using the sketch…

The card base is yellow cardstock from Bazzill that has been spritzed with Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz® to add a little texture.

The chipboard heart is done in 2 parts. The inside was done using Campfire, Lagoon and Cherry Pie Designer Foils applied using a dry adhesive. {You can view a description and Snapguide showing how to do this technique – as well as 2 other foil techniques here: Clearsnap Gold Foil Blog Hop}. The outside was painted using Tulip and Lotus Izink.

The “ribbon” is actually a selvage from some burlap I had. I liked the aqua thread running through it and it matched the colors in my card.

The printed paper, cardstock and chipboard piece are from Fancy Pants.

Burlap ColorBox© Pigment Ink, applied using the ColorBox© Stylus & Tips were used to distress the edges of all pieces.

Paper flowers, vintage buttons and an antique silver cording bow complete the card.

If you use a sketch to create a card, please share it with us on Facebook!

About Tami Sanders

Ink, paper and glue are a few of my favorite things. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, and don’t really have a set “style”; fresh, graphic or vintage, I like them all.  Likewise, I also find creating a variety of projects challenging. I design scrapbook pages, cards, mixed media projects, altered books, jewelry and more. I have taught scrapbooking and paper crafting classes locally as well as at regional and national conventions. Sharing the joy of inking and paper crafting feeds my creative soul. You can usually find me scouring estate sales and flea markets on the weekends hunting for unique tidbits and trinkets to use in my classes and for my projects. I'm excited to be rejoining the Clearsnap Design Team. I am fortunate to have worked with Clearsnap for over 10 years.
