Hello inky friends! I am excited to share a new background technique with you today! This one is easy, trendy and perfect for creating your handmade valentine’s day cards and more. And the best part is you can use any ink medium you already have on hand. So here is a closer look at these fragmented Valentines…
This cool technique looks great on it’s own and would make some really great DIY art to hang on your walls. With these two cards, I took the technique one step further by masking off a couple areas to leave a heart shaped design.
This first card shows the fragmented technique masked into a small area and colored with Pigment Ink. I used three shades from the new Colorbox® for Doodlebug Designs Petal Point® in Fun. It’s easy to apply and blend the ink to the small areas with a thin paintbrush.
I really like the larger background showing the fragmented colors also. These colors were painted on with IZINK. I used two of the new neon shades – Gentian and Lotus, as well as Opaline, Topaz and Geranium.
Here’s a look at how you can try the fragmented technique out for yourself. It really is so simplehttp://youtu.be/YQ7ftl3UvCo!
Thanks so much for stopping in today!
