Hello Clearsnap fans! Guest Designer Dana Tatar here today. The falling leaves are collecting in abundance in my yard so I picked a few favorites and brought them inside to my craft table for use with a Magic Stamp and Izink.
Magic Stamps are moldable pieces of foam. To create a stamp, gather a Magic Stamp, a heat gun and any textured item-I chose leaves.
After experimenting with several leaves, I selected my favorite. I applied heat to the Magic Stamp, placed it over my leaf (veined side up), and then pressed down on the foam for about 15 seconds to create a crisp impression. This design will remain on the foam until I reheat it.
I applied Bamboo Izink onto a craft mat and dabbed the Magic Stamp into the ink. I then stamped several images onto a piece of white cardstock. I was able to create several leaf prints from one Izink application. The leaves shown above are the first (left) and second (right) stampings. I was most pleased with the second stamped leaf and used that image for my card.
This technique was a lot of fun! I mounted the leaf print onto a piece of burlap that I inked with Leather Mix’d Media Inx. I attached the layered image to an orange card base that I embellished with a script pattern using Snow Crafter’s Pigment Ink and a stamp.
