Card Sketch #17 by Tami Sanders

Hello! Tami here with your Card Sketch for November…

card sketch #17

And here is the sample card I made using the sketch…

nov card sketch - wm sized

For this card I wanted to see what I could do with crayons! Clearsnap distributes Aladine products, and Aladine makes a set of crayons for babies – Animal Crayons

The crayons are perfect to use for crafting as they are “naked” – no wrappers, are big and chunky with nice points and the animal designs on the ends make them easy to grip.

Using crayons to add color to your cards or other crafting can add variety to your designs and add another medium for you to “play” with. Crayons aren’t just for kids!

Crayons work great for use with embossed designs like the background for this card. It’s a quick and easy way to add color.

I also used ColorBox® Archival Dye Ink, as well as products from The {Stamps} Of Life, Bazzill, Beacon Adhesives and 3L: Scrapbook Adhesives to make the card.

I put together a Snapguide that shows how to make this card step-by-step with both photos and written directions: HAPPY FALL

If you use a sketch to create a card, please share it with us on Facebook!

About Tami Sanders

Ink, paper and glue are a few of my favorite things. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, and don’t really have a set “style”; fresh, graphic or vintage, I like them all.  Likewise, I also find creating a variety of projects challenging. I design scrapbook pages, cards, mixed media projects, altered books, jewelry and more. I have taught scrapbooking and paper crafting classes locally as well as at regional and national conventions. Sharing the joy of inking and paper crafting feeds my creative soul. You can usually find me scouring estate sales and flea markets on the weekends hunting for unique tidbits and trinkets to use in my classes and for my projects. I'm excited to be rejoining the Clearsnap Design Team. I am fortunate to have worked with Clearsnap for over 10 years.

  1. This is a great card design. I love the way the leaves look like they are being blown. Time to get out the crayons :)
