Izink is so versatile it can go on practically any surface including fabric, and since I am on a sewing kick right now, I decide to try out my Izinks on some fabric. Some tips for trying out new techniques on fabric; use muslin to practice on, then cut out and use as an appliqué!

The first step is to choose a stamp, then make alignment marks using washi or masking tape. You will be making a faint mark first with the stamp, painting with Izinks, then stamping over with Colorbox Crafters Ink.

Here you can see is used some Colorbox Pigment ink in Mist to make a faint outline to guide my painting. Any light colored ink will do

Now using a fine tipped paintbrush start filling in the line- no need to be perfect, it  looks better of you go outside a little. I paint from the outside in and blend slightly as I go. Simply wash your brush in water between colors- the Izinks will dry in 10 minutes or less

Using the tape as a guideline, over stamp, and now you have your image finished! Give the ink a few minutes to dry- then heat press using another cloth over the top with no steam for 30 seconds

Next I cut out my muslin using my pinking shears, and then cut a piece of fusible interfacing a bit smaller. Line it up on your garment, then heat set according to the interfacing instructions

I ran my sewing machine over the edges and added in a few decorative leaf stitches for fun
