by | June 16th, 2014 | 30

Join us for a blog hop with our friends at CardMaker magazine! We’ve teamed up to share with you some amazing projects using Izink, an acrylic pigment ink formula that works great on all kinds of crafts and paper projects. Hop through the list and then use the handy dandy widget at the end of this post to enter to win 6 Izinks!

Today, Jennifer Priest is sharing a variation on a technique she shared on her own blog, stamping with Izink:

Turn a single stamp into a double-layer stamp with this fun and easy technique using Izink and water!

You can use any stamp to achieve this layered look – simply apply the Izink in desired colors to a non-stick craft mat, spritz with water, and then stamp away! Once the Izink is dry, stamp over the image again with ColorBox Surfacez multi-surface ink in Black. Add a strip of washi tape to the card edge. Stamp a sentiment on a second piece of washi tape using  ColorBox Surfacez multi-surface ink in Black and apply to the card. Here’s how to create this look:

I’m a card maker so I would use this technique on my greeting cards.
I have the material to get into mixed media but just haven’t done it. This ink sounds like something that would be great for the mixed media. Maybe winning this would give me a jump-start on working on those projects.
