Working with artists and designers is one of the things we cherish here at Clearsnap! We are honored to introduce our new Creative Team for 2014-2015, a group of designers we know will inspire you!
While my life in the papercrafting industry began with a handmade card, I have over time integrated into the mix other papercrafting formats, and find myself most at home when working with a lot of media in a style that I would call organic grunge. These days, I get great satisfaction from inspiring others through my video tutorials. Outside of the studio, I am a produced playwright, avid gardener and naturalist, devoted wife, and mama to several furry babies.
And our returning designers!
My name is Meihsia Liu, I live in Texas with my husband and two children, and I have been paper crafting since 2011. I love card making, scrapbooking, art journaling and creating mixed media or altered art. It is always fun to experiment new techniques and share with people. I love to create with various art mediums in different style.
Hi! My name is Suzanne Austin. I’m a SAHM of 3 kiddos living on the Gulf Coast in Alabama. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 17 years and counting! I began scrapping shortly after the birth of our son, and like most haven’t looked back! It wasn’t hard to become completely immersed in scrapbooking-the process, the art, the design-I am still in awe of the talent that’s showcased in this industry. My style is pretty versatile (and still ever evolving), but I tend to lean toward the mixed-media and inky side of scrapping. My motto: Just do it! I love experimentation with new ideas and techniques. I tend jump in head first-no regrets. I love the enrichment (and therapy :D) this hobby has to lend. I’m beyond excited to rub elbows with our talented Creative Team for yet another term!
Hello! I am so delighted to be working with Clearsnap for another term! My family and I live in rural Madison County, Iowa in an old farm house. We have 4 kids under age 7, 3 roosters roaming in the yard and a black cat too. Playing with ink, color and stamping has become a great passion over the last several years. Sneaking in a couple hours of inky time each day during nap time helps keep me sane! I love finding new ways to use products and sharing them with you here on the Clearsnap blog and on my personal blog space. You can also find my work in the pages of several craft and card making magazines. In additional to paper crafting, I love to cook, sew, garden and spend time outdoors unplugged.
My name is Denise Hahn and I am a mixed media artist and crafter from Long Beach California. I have always loved creating and I get my creativity from my Mom and Grandmother. They always had elaborately decorated packages under the Christmas tree along with handmade decorations. They also sewed amazing Halloween costumes for us. I was always in awe of what they could create and soon started joining them. But somehow I lost sight of creating and for many years let it slip away. Then I was introduced to scrapbooking from a friend and I have never looked back. I consider myself a crafter of all trades; I do paper crafting, mixed media, altered art, and jewelry. But I am always looking to learn new things. Currently I spend my time teaching workshops and creating for the Graphic 45 Design Team and Clearsnaps Creative Team. I live in Long Beach, Ca with my husband and our two lovable pit bulls Juno and Pipi. When I am not crafting I enjoy skating roller derby, biking, and skiing in Colorado.
My name is Steph Ackerman.I live in New York with my husband of 34 years, our 19 year old son and our 5 year old pup, who is very photogenic. I am a CHA Designer Member and use a wide variety of products in my projects. I love using stamps and inks and stencils, and I love creating beautiful papers with these mediums.
I am a craft-a-holic who loves nothing better than spending time in my craft space creating cards, altered/mixed media projects, mini albums and anything I can get my hands on. My day is just not complete if I haven’t spent some time in my studio. I also love to teach and can be found teaching at my local store and in my studio where I push my students to explore their creativity. I have been published in several magazines and have had the pleasure of being on several design teams. I am absolutely thrilled to be designing for Clearsnap.
I am a stay at home mom with 2 boys; Drew age 17 and Christopher who’s 12.
I have been happily married for 20 years to my husband Robbie. I have taught scrapbooking and paper crafting classes for over 13 years and have been designing for about 10 years. I enjoy the challenge of working with a variety of supplies, and don’t really have a set “style”; fresh, graphic or vintage, I like them all. I have been designing for Clearsnap for over 6 years, and just finished a 4 year stint as blog hostess. Getting my hands inky is one of my favorite things, so I’m excited to be part of the team!
Jennifer Priest – Coordinator
It started with jewelry, beading, sewing, home decor, painting, basket weaving, pottery, and cross-stitch. Marry that to an entrepreneurial spirit & at 9 years old a girl is selling her wares at craft fairs as far as her parents and grandparents would drive her. These days, Jennifer enjoys crafts of all genres from sewing to scrapbooking to jewelry with a little dabbling in the mixed media world. Her style is approachable and she wants everyone who sees her work to feel that they too can embrace creativity and make their home and life beautiful.
And finally, we bid farewell to a long time contributor to the Cleasrsnap blog, Jean Okimoto. Jean blogged for Clearsnap on her own blog, long before we had our company blog, and on our company blog since 2011. She has been a contributor to our catalogs, trade show booths, and print ads for as long as we can remember! Jean is moving back into working on these types of projects for us now that her term as a blog contributor has ended. We look forward to sharing her continued work with us in our catalog and more in the coming months.
Thank you Jean!
