Watercolor Technique using Izink by Tami Sanders

Hi! Hostess Tami here with a watercolor technique using Izink to share.

Izink Inks are acrylic based pigment inks that are opaque with a pretty pearly sheen. They are acid free and dry quickly. You can also spray them using the Izink Spray Bottle. Use them straight up or blend with water for a softer look.

The weather here in San Antonio has been dreary off and on for the last few weeks with more grey skies than blue. The sunrises and sunsets have been diffused by banks of dark clouds too; muting the bright oranges, reds and aquas. The color scheme seemed to fit the “missing you” card I was putting together to send a friend….

You can see the shimmery look you get with the Izink Inks

I’ve put together a short video with step-by-step directions for both the watercolor technique using the Izink and directions for the card…

About Tami Sanders

Ink, paper and glue are a few of my favorite things. I enjoy working with a variety of mediums, and don’t really have a set “style”; fresh, graphic or vintage, I like them all.  Likewise, I also find creating a variety of projects challenging. I design scrapbook pages, cards, mixed media projects, altered books, jewelry and more. I have taught scrapbooking and paper crafting classes locally as well as at regional and national conventions. Sharing the joy of inking and paper crafting feeds my creative soul. You can usually find me scouring estate sales and flea markets on the weekends hunting for unique tidbits and trinkets to use in my classes and for my projects. I'm excited to be rejoining the Clearsnap Design Team. I am fortunate to have worked with Clearsnap for over 10 years.
