Hi – Jean Okimoto here – sharing a warm, sparkly butterflies Valentine design on a frosty Seattle morning!
Confirming that great minds think alike when Clearsnap colors are involved – Tami Sanders and I are featuring the new Caliente ColorBox Pigment Inkpad on Valentine cards this weekend. I love how it steps out beyond the traditional pinks and reds and adds a special glow to the design when paired with ColorBox Berry Pigment Ink.
- ColorBox® Pigment Inkpads – NEW Caliente, NEW Cement, Berry
- ColorBox® Color Blender
- ColorBox® Top BossTinted Embossing Inkpad
- ColorBox® Embossing Powders – Opalescent Clear, Gold Sparkle
- Memory Box Dies – Butterfly Heart, Cupid Heart
- Memory Box Designer Stencil – Love Frame
- Diecut Machine and Plates
- Pencil Eraser
Stencil the Love Frame onto a 4-⅝” x 6-¼” card of textured white cardstock using the Color Blender and Caliente – then shade the frame portion lightly with Cement. Heat-set the inks.
Diecut Butterfly Heart from white cardstock, then cut around it with the Cupid Heart Die. Ink it with Caliente and Berry, then emboss it with Opalescent Clear Powder.
Use the pencil eraser to dot Tinted Embossing Ink onto the card – then emboss the dots with Gold Sparkle Powder. Let a few random dots of embossing powder add to the handmade look!
Hope you like the color combinations – I think it would work for summer wedding cards too. What do you think?
